It’s been radio silence for a while and for good reasons. I finished Between Two Minds: Book 2. It’s currently in the hands of the editor, and if all goes as planned, I’m hoping for a mid to late summer release.
Book 1 had left a lot of unanswered questions. Book 2 answers a lot of those while coming up with its own mysteries, some solved and others saved for even more sequels. Regardless, I think it’s a fun and suspenseful ride that’s even better than the first, leaving readers satisfied at the end, but begging for more (which will absolutely come in due time). That said, I’ve taken a break from the BTM series to clear my head. I’ll come back to it later with fresh eyes.
New Writing Project
For now, I’m working on a new book that should be a quick write. It focuses on Consumer Analytics and the frightening consequences the use of metadata can have on consumers and the world. Look no further than how Facebook and other social media metadata was allegedly used to influence the 2016 US Presidential election. In this book, I’ll be foregoing some of the fancy mechanics of the BTM series to focus on a linear, thought-provoking ,and thrilling read that will make you think twice about how the very data you provide on the internet (including the Internet of Things [IoT]) can be used against you.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be giving away copies of Between Two Minds: Awakening and potentially other prizes. Be sure to like and follow my Facebook page to be eligible and share the page with friends and family so they can get in on the fun. https://www.facebook.com/dcwrighthammer/
