Jacob John Rundle was born in Galesburg, IL on September 27, 1985. Growing up as an avid reader, he also had stories of his own. After spending eight years in the Navy as a Nuclear Operator, he moved to New Orleans to a new life. After holding a few meaningless jobs, he decided to pursue his passion for storytelling in one of the most mystical cities in the United States. Jacob enjoys writing in the Urban Fantasy and Dark Fantasy genres, but he hopes to venture into other areas at a later time. Jacob isn’t only a Young Adult author; he also operates his own weekly blog, detailing his strides in completing his first self-published novel Augur of Shadows. On his blog, he loves to review books of any genre, and he posts the review on his website.

What Does it Mean to You to be an Indie Author?

I love every aspect of being an Indie Author, i.e. cover design, formatting, etc. The best part is not having any restrictions or pressures. I have my own goals of word count, but the most important thing is when I feel that the story is complete. I don’t want to feel forced to add something to only reach a certain word count.

What Do you Want Readers to Know?

I currently have a Pre-Sale Giveaway happening right now. Anyone who pre-orders the eBook version of my debut novel will be entered into the giveaway which will be announced via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and my website on the day of my book launch, February 26.
