INDIE AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT:
Kristin Ward
“Being an indie author means that I have creative control of my work.”
Kristin Ward, author of After the Green Withered and Burden of Truth, lives in a small town in Connecticut with her husband, three sons, and many furry and feathered friends. Fueled by dark chocolate and coffee, she has been writing poems, prose, and academia for over twenty years.
What Does it Mean to You to be an Indie Author?
Being an indie author means that I have creative control of my work. I can publish books that are meaningful to me without the need to go through an approval process during which an outsider could alter the vision of my story.
What Do you Want Readers to Know?
My debut novel won the 2018 Best Indie Book Award in YA fiction! I’m currently working on a SciFi fantasy book that I hope to publish in late spring 2019.
