INDIE AUTHOR SPOTLIGHT:
“I’ve only just started my journey a few months ago, I know it’s going to be worth every ounce of effort I put into making myself successful.”
Sarah Bailey was born and raised in Sussex, UK near the Ashdown Forest where she grew up climbing trees and building Lego towns with her younger brother. Sarah fell in love with novels when she was a teenager reading her aunt’s historical regency romances. She’s always had a love of the supernatural, avidly devouring paranormal romances and TV shows such as True Blood and Supernatural. Sarah currently resides in Berkshire with her husband. Music is one of her biggest inspirations and she always has something on in the background whilst writing. She is an avid gamer and is often found hogging her husband’s Xbox.
What Does it Mean to You to be an Indie Author?
Pretty much everything! I love being able to set my own schedule, be my own boss and tell the stories I want to tell. The Indie community is amazing and the support, incredible. It’s a lot of hard work, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’ve learnt so much a long the way. I’ve only just started my journey a few months ago, I know it’s going to be worth every ounce of effort I put into making myself successful. I’ve loved connecting with my readers on a personal level and they encourage me every day to keep going.
What Do you Want Readers to Know?
I’m releasing a new fantasy novella called The Dragon Prince. It’ll be available on Amazon and free to all newsletter subscribers. I’m gearing up to release the fifth book in my urban paranormal romance series, After Dark. Book five is called Death’s Angel and I’m super excited to be bringing this one out in November! And I might well also be releasing a full length fantasy novel very soon, so watch this space.
